Delta killings: Three suspects are detained and taken to the Army Headquarters in Asaba.

Three of the suspects who killed seventeen officers and men from the Nigerian Army’s 181 Amphibious Battalion in Otuama, Delta State, last Thursday have been taken into custody. This occurred after Senate President Godswill Akpabio declared on Tuesday that those accountable for the military personnel’s deaths will face consequences. Speaking on the same day that Sheriff Oborevwori, the governor of Delta State, briefed President Bola Tinubu on the situation at Aso Rock, Akpabio stated that the state is handling the tension brought on by the killing and that there won’t be any more attacks.

Senator Akpabio’s statement comes amidst the ongoing investigation into the killings of military men, which the House of Representatives has mandated the Armed Forces of Nigeria to conduct.
