Elon Musk changes the X profiles from Twitter.com to X.com.
After changing the name of the social media network, Elon Musk’s online platform X has eliminated another relic from Twitter in the last almost ten months.
The multibillionaire has deleted their twitter.com profiles from the platform.
“From now on, users who type in twitter.com will be directed to “x.com,” Musk wrote on Friday.
In October 2022, Musk paid $44 billion to acquire Twitter. He changed its name, claiming that it was required to demonstrate the breadth of features available on his platform beyond brief chat.
Apart from incorporating a new call feature, he aims to transform X into a platform for job searches and money transfers.
Musk cut personnel in that department and loosened the regulations governing content control after taking charge.
Twitter’s advertising revenue, which had previously provided almost all of its funding, plummeted.
Numerous sponsors were concerned that their names would be linked to hateful posts. X disputes the notion that hate speech on the site is an issue.
