IPOB attorney revealed that Nnamdi Kanu’s legal document was seized by DSS

Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, has claimed that a specific legal document was taken from him by Department of State Services (DSS) agents.

Ejimakor claimed that on Monday, he brought a “critical” legal document to Kanu for review at the DSS headquarters, but the secret police officers took it and didn’t give it back to him until he left.

This was disclosed by Kanu’s attorney in a post on X announcing his meeting with the IPOB leader, who has been under the DSS’s custody since June 29, 2021.

The IPOB attorney then declared that Kanu would not be tried for such offenses and added, “It’s not a court-martial.”

“I showed him a crucial legal document so he could review it, but the DSS took it as usual and didn’t return it until I departed, Ejimakor wrote.

“MNK will never be prosecuted for such offenses. This is not a martial court. Plus, #FairHearing,” he said.

The Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed Kanu’s new request to be released on bail last Tuesday, pending the outcome of the treasonable felony charge that the Federal Government had preferred against him.

Justice Binta Nyako ordered an expedited hearing of FG’s seven-count charge against him, refusing to grant the bail application.

The trial was postponed until April 17 by Judge Nyako.
